Dave Torgerson

President & CEO

With over 30 years of continuous experience in the Electronic Security Systems industry, Dave is a seasoned professional. His expertise spans a wide range of systems, from traditional security measures to Enterprise-Class integrated solutions. Throughout his career, Dave has held various key roles, including Service Technician, Installation Technician, Service Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Branch General Manager and then went on to own a subcontracting firm, and multiple Security Integration companies.

In 2008, Dave founded his own security integration firm, growing it to three office locations with 50 employees before its acquisition by a global integrator in 2013. After serving as the GM for Florida for nearly 2 years Dave stepped back and Consulted for a few years and then in 2018 Dave Founded Facility Protection Group and has successfully grown the company year after year. With an emphasis on Cloud based Security Dave has positioned Facility Protection Group for the future of Security.

Having overseen more than $100 million in security integration work throughout his career, Dave’s experience, management, and leadership has consistently been proven. Dave is a State of Florida Electrical Contractor License Holder.

Carl Stark

Vice President

Carl is a seasoned security industry professional with over 30 years of experience. His career began in the U.S. Navy as a technician specializing in security systems. He then worked for a regional commercial security integrator advancing into various roles, including installation, service, project management, engineering, account management, and business development. In 2008, Carl founded his own security integration firm, growing it to three office locations with over 40 employees before its acquisition by a global integrator in 2013. After running Florida sales for two years, Carl voluntarily resigned.

In 2016, he joined another global integrator as a Business Development Manager, supporting new and existing customers. By 2018, Carl was promoted to President of the Global Accounts Division, where he consistently grew the division year after year. In 2022 the global integrator was acquired by a private equity firm. After 18 months, Carl voluntarily resigned.

Carl is also dedicated to volunteer leadership, having served in various capacities for industry organizations such as ASIS International and the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety. He is an honorably discharged US Navy Electronic Technician with Top Secret Security Clearance; State of Florida Electrical Contractor license holder, and board-certified Physical Security Professional (PSP).
